Plant-Based Cooking Classes
Wanna learn to cook delicious plant-based meals using good-for-you ingredients?
I am a big proponent of food as medicine and believe that a diet rich in plant-based whole foods (like vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, and seeds) is one of the most powerful tools we have to promote our own wellbeing.
Whether you’re a total beginner - or a seasoned cook curious about healthier food - I can help. I offer group and private vegan cooking classes (in-person and virtually) to individuals, families, and corporate clients (including team-building and wellness events).
I also offer vegan culinary demonstrations and have presented at venues like Union Square Greenmarket, SoHo House, NYC Veg Fest, and The Great New York State Fair.
Class menus are fully customizable based on preferences and dietary needs.
Contact me for sample menus and pricing.
Please note that at this time, I am only offering private in-home or corporate classes. If any public group classes are scheduled, they will be listed on this page. For more info about private classes (or if you have other questions), please email me.
What people are saying…
“Alex hosted a virtual cooking class for my company, Prosek Partners, and we had the best time. We made Charred Broccoli and Seared Tofu Bowls with Peanut Sauce, using some ingredients I’ve never cooked with before but was dying to try! She shared her plant-based cooking philosophy and gave us very helpful cooking tips and knife skills guidance (like how to peel ginger and sear tofu, for example). The meal turned out great and I can’t wait to make it again. Her directions were easy to follow and we finished right on time!”
“We took the ‘Tofu and Tempeh Deep-Dive’ class as part of my birthday celebration - I highly recommend it. You end up with a delicious, festive meal, and have pleasant company while preparing it. Alex is really efficient in the kitchen (she did much of the prep work) and a good teacher. I learned a lot, without it feeling didactic. We had fun preparing the food together - overall a great evening!”
“We invited Alex to teach a virtual class to a group of alumni who have been participating in online events since the beginning of the pandemic. She made the event so much fun, and was very indulgent about all our questions. She taught every one of us some new tips and tricks for the kitchen. But the best part, of course, was all the delicious leftovers we had for the rest of the week! We’re eager to do it again soon.”
